1Chronicles 29:28, ARTB, greyhead
He (David) died a good greyhead, satisfied with days of riches and honor. Solomon his son reigned under him.
(1Chronicles 29:28) ARTB
Note from A. Frances Werner:
The ancient Hebrew and Aramaic both use a single word, GREYHEADED, (SYB, Strong's 7867,68, 69, and 72) as a special designation.  Although it is often translated as OLD AGE, this word is used specifically for great people like Abraham, Jacob, Gideon and David.
Lots of people reach old age.  But having a GREYHEAD also denotes being covered by God with special regard.  Despite David's sin and weakness, by the end of his life he was a GOOD GREYHEAD.
