Earlier in the week, I mentioned that the word SPIRIT-WIND is associated with the word INHALE.  Prior to this verse, Noah has emerged from the ark and completed a thanksgiving sacrifice.

Most translations utilize the word SMELL instead of INHALE. No doubt Yahweh could SMELL the aromatic scent, but the word INHALE also shows a deeper experience.  On spring days, we not only SMELL the clean rain, but we also INHALE deeply to "take a piece" of spring deeply into our bodies.  That truly reflects the SPIRIT-WIND of God.
