The word SMUGGLE may appear to be an odd word in this passage.  However, the original Hebrew word (Strong's number 6845) appears 31 times in the Old Testament and even describes how Moses was hidden by his mother.  It is a more powerful description than merely HIDING something, because it includes a purposeful activity.
