Most of us learned this verse with the phrase "loving God". The original Hebrew has a second significant word for LOVE that is not usually used in most translations: NURTURE. This important word highlights the wonderful doting love of a parent who not only LOVES their child, but also is involved in NURTURING their child to grow to their full potential.
