There are THREE main sources of errors in bible accuracy: Correct vocabulary, word-for word matching of ancient text to translation, and correct choice of manuscripts.
The author's book, Truth in Translation: Accuracy and Surprising Bias in the Old Testament, demonstrated that incomplete vocabulary is a far greater source of error than matching word-for-word. The ARTB excels in restoring all of the original vocabulary. In addition, the Ancient Roots Translinear Bible (ARTB), effort has been made to match one English word with one Hebrew and Aramaic word. Every noun, verb, adverb, and adjective is translated exactly as one noun, verb, adverb or adjective. This product is based upon single manuscripts for the Old Testament and New Testament, which is fair game for criticism.
ARTB is a TRANSLINEAR product, which defines a very specific and narrow TRANSLATION methodology. It is different than an Interlinear bible, but is the better choice for the bible student who does not know the ancient languages. There are very specific rules which means that the science of presenting a clean data base has taken precedence over conveying the meaning.
During the preparation of the Ancient Roots New Testament, new Strong's numbers have been created for the Aramaic New Testament, and will be released shortly.
